Happy New Year

As a new year begins, we'd like to share some pictures from a recent job that we completed in Pennsylvania for John Lehman of The Knoll Interior Design.   John chose wonderful fabrics and design to complement the character of this historical home.

Here is to a healthy and prosperous 2015!

Ideas for 2014

If it's time for you to freshen up your window treatments, here are some great style ideas!  There are plenty of styles that can please anyone, from tailored to elegant.

I love the contrasting fabric and buttons on this tailored valance.

This style also brings in a contrast fabric and is perfect for any room.

This cornice is a mock roman shade with contrasting straps.

This mock roman shade cornice has nail heads along the top for that extra custom touch.

This beautiful staircase called for a special window treatment and extra special installation.

The swag, jabot and panel are 3 different fabrics and complemented with a beautiful trim.

The tight spaces were tricky but in the end the treatment really accented the staircase and softened the sitting area.

This simple yet elegant valance is perfect for dressing up a window without being fussy.

Welcome Fall 2013

This summer Sew Bee It has stayed very busy making homes more beautiful.
We worked with John Lehman from The Knoll Interior Design to add the finishing touches on this gorgeous home.

Our first ceiling treatment turned out just as it was envisioned.  Black gimp trims the bottom edge and nail heads add even more interest.

This kitchen valance includes extra attention to detail with the bias band and wooden tassels attached to the points.

A custom shaped cornice is perfect for this bathroom window.

We really enjoyed the view from this job site.

Sunny Florida

We recently traveled to sunny Florida to install some window treatments made for wonderful clients that also have a home near Boone.  Everything turned out beautifully and the install went off without a hitch!

This layered style valance is a great way to showcase two coordinating fabrics.

Several of the windows had a large transom, so we made the treatments to come above both windows.  This heightened the look of the window and did not block any of the light that the transom provided.
This swag valance adds elegance to the dining room.

The swag and jabot valances with contrasting side panels soften the master bedroom.

Swags on medallions are perfect for this large bay window in the kitchen.

This tailored valance is simple, but the contrast band on the bottom offers just enough interest.
The layered side panels are also a nice detail.

Busy and Blessed!

Sew Bee It continues to have one of the best years in our 8 year history.
We are very optimistic about what is to come!

The following pictures are from a lovely job that we did with Tammy Taylor of Tammy Taylor Interiors in Cramerton, NC.

Mock roman shade with beaded trim.

Stagecoach shade with braided ribbon accent.

Burlap panel painted by Tammy Taylor and trimmed in wide grosgrain ribbon.

Swag valance over a bathtub.

Extra long side panels on medallions with scalloped valance and beaded trim.
The perfect addition to this open living room with oversized arched windows.
